Absolutely great tour and provided very good food

the previous comment about the establishment burning down is a year late (it will not burn again in the future) but the staff here was super friendly and showed us a short video and some of the items not damaged as well as authentic American produced pearls; they also saw an issue with our trailer tow and spent two hours with a retired Servicemember help us fix our U-Haul tow assembly, cannot say enough nice things about the people here - they're saints!

along with the pearl museum there is a local resort with access for RVs, Campers, and a small marina with boat launches

The museum was destroyed in a fire in December 2017. A few exhibits and a video can be seen at the rental office across the street. Host is very pleasant.

We visited the "museum" on March 18. The owners had their dog in the building. With no provocation, the dog bit my husband, resulting in a trip to the emergency room, a tetanus shot and several prescriptions. Although this was a relatively minor bite, it resulted in several hundred dollars in medical bills. Now the number for the museum has been disconnected and we are unable to contact anyone connected with this business. Do yourself a favor and stay home.

Very interesting tour and an even more interesting Owner! Learned a lot about how pearls are made...
